As it happens the end is the beginning. This is not meant to be oblique or profound -- just stating the nature of this blogging business. This then, my final entry, will be the introduction.
Ten days ago I arrived home from Antartica. Since then there have been Parent-Teacher Conferences, Thanksgiving, Food Coop shift, mini-van shopping, organizing for the BHS homeless shelter. Evey day I've revisited this adventure of mine at the bottom of the earth, and tried to share a little something about the experience. The purpose of this has always been to share some of what it was like with friends and family. So now I expect I'll become a visitor to my own blog. I hope it will keep it alive for me, and bring it to life for everyone else.
